What the preview confirms: matches award Perk Points. The September 2 overview shows those points being used to roll Civilian perk cards, cards being placed into decks, and an owned card receiving a temporary upgrade. It does not reveal the complete card pool, current costs, roll odds, deck rules, exact upgrade duration, or Scrap result.
Reported route Evidence boundary
The system and example cards below come from IllFonic's September 2 progression overview. The video predates the digital release, its client build is unknown, and this project has not tested roll rates, upgrade duration, or card balance in-game.
The loop shown in the official preview
- Finish matches to earn Perk Points. The official overview connects completed matches with the points used by the perk system. It does not provide a complete payout table.
- Spend points to roll Civilian perk cards. A larger spend can improve the chance of receiving a higher-rarity card. “Better chance” is not a guarantee.
- Build a perk deck from cards you own. Decks can be equipped in a Civilian loadout. The preview shows collection and deck counters, but not a complete set of deck-building restrictions.
- Use points for a temporary card upgrade. The confirmation dialog says the upgraded card lasts for a few matches. Treat it as a short-term boost, not a permanent level increase.
Example cards visible in the official preview
These values were readable in the September 2 video. They are examples of the system, not a complete card list or a claim about the current balance.
| Card shown | Preview effect | What it proves | Status |
|---|---|---|---|
| Stubborn V | Move 25% faster while wounded | A Legendary result shown after a roll; not a guaranteed result for the displayed cost. | Reported route |
| Liquid Courage V | Deal 25% more melee damage while intoxicated | A conditional melee effect shown in the card UI. | Reported route |
| Sharpshooter I | Deal 20% more critical damage with ranged weapons | A ranged critical-damage effect and temporary upgrade option shown in the UI. | Reported route |
How to read the three shown cards
Each visible effect has a condition: Stubborn V refers to being wounded, Liquid Courage V refers to being intoxicated, and Sharpshooter I refers to a critical hit with a ranged weapon. The percentages are readable preview values for those named cards and levels; they are not a current ranking or proof of how often each condition occurs.
The current evidence does not include controlled matches, a complete card pool, roll probabilities, or patch-level balance data. Use the table as a dated preview reference only.
What the preview does and does not show
The preview's Upgrade Perk dialog explicitly says the improvement lasts for a few matches. The footage also shows a Scrap option beside cards, but it does not show the confirmation flow or the resources received afterward. Exact duration, stacking behavior, refund rates, and whether scrapping is reversible remain unverified.
Perks FAQ
Are perk upgrades permanent?
No. The official overview says spending Perk Points can upgrade an owned card for a limited number of matches. The exact duration was not shown.
Does spending more Perk Points guarantee a Legendary card?
No. IllFonic says a larger spend improves the chance of a higher-rarity card; it does not guarantee a particular rarity or card.
What are the best perks?
A verified best-perk ranking is not available from the current evidence. The right card depends on its trigger, your Civilian, and the actions you expect to take.
What happens when I scrap a perk card?
The preview UI shows a Scrap option and values, but the reviewed footage does not show the confirmation or final result. This guide does not claim a refund rate or irreversible outcome.
